Recorded Webinar @ All Day
Duration: 60 minutes
Description:
There have been unprecedented changes to the rules and regulations for Telehealth and Telemedicine services during the Public Health Emergency (PHE). The PHE lapsed on May 11, 2023, and many rules and regulations were subsequently impacted. Rapid responses and digital communication play a vital role in protecting public health in times of crisis. However, when the public health emergency ends, a transition face is equally critical to ensure a smooth shift from crisis management to normalcy while maintaining readiness for potential future challenges.
Digital updates and communication are essential components of this transition, with a focus on data, transparency, and preparedness. By maintaining clear and informative digital channels, public health authorities can ensure that the public remains informed and ready for the future.
In today's webinar, you will gain a more profound grasp of the core principles, enabling you to put telehealth services into practice and make them operational beyond the Public Health Emergency (PHE) period. You will also learn about the post-waiver and flexibility requirements and discover which insurance providers offer reimbursement once the Public Health Emergency (PHE) concludes.
Digital Health reimbursement rules have changed enormously throughout the last three years in terms of coverage, reimbursement, documentation requirements, supervision requirements, billing requirements, etc. Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) can provide telehealth services to Medicare beneficiaries (i.e., can be distant site providers) rather than being limited to being an originating site provider for telehealth (i.e., where the beneficiary is located).
